He was predeceased by: his parents, Louise Cole Morris and Thomas Arron Morris; his wife Anne Weston Morris; his sister Glenda Morris Palardy; and his friend James Condra.
He is survived by: his daughter Dawn Ashley Rains (Todd); his grandchildren, Addison Blair Rains and Carter Ellison Rains; his niece Romese Burns Ford (Lane); and his nephew James Aaron Burns (Rita). He is also survived by great-great nieces and nephews, and his dear friends.
A graveside service was held on Friday, November 15th 2024 at 1:00 PM at the Crestwood Cemetery (2209 E Broad St, Gadsden, AL 35903). Visitation was held on Friday, November 15th 2024 at 2:00 PM at the Gadsden First United Methodist Church (115 S 5th St, Gadsden, AL 35901). A celebration of life was held on Friday, November 15th 2024 at 3:00 PM at the same location.
In lieu of flowers, contributions can be made to the American Kidney Fund or the American Heart Association.
