He is survived by: his wife Anna Nelson; his children, Dixie, Bentley, Oakleigh and Charleigh; his aunts and uncles, Thornie Shaneyfelt (Kim), Wayne Nelson, Rhonda Strawn (Steve), Tracie Medley (Johnny) and Pam Nelson; his nieces and nephews, Katelyn Shaneyfelt, Isaiah Medley, Isaac Medley, Lindsie Diggs (Jared) and Blake Strawn (Brandy); and his father Mike Nelson (Thornie Shaneyfelt Jr.).
