He was predeceased by: his parents, Sidney Theodore and Ruby Lee Kuykendall Day; his siblings, James, Leon Day, Betty Floyd and Marie Day; his children, Jane Shew and Stanley Day; and his stepdaughter Wanda Young.
He is survived by: his daughters, Mary Elizabeth Meharg, Sallie Gentry (George) and Linda Gossett; his stepchildren, Wendy Pope and Tony Pope; his grandchildren, Jessica Rawls, Holly Rawls (Kirk), Jared Meharg (Megan), Jason Shew (Victoria), Clint Shew (Britany), Whitney Shew Carr, Cory Shew (Danna), Stephanie Gossett, Jennifer Bolts, Gary Anderson and Brittney Day; and his stepgrandchildren, Kyle, Kelby Pritchett, Eric Cannington, Shannon Cannington (Vanda), Jordan and Joshua Pope. He is also survived by numerous nieces, nephews, and extended family.
