She was predeceased by: her husband Fredrick William "Fred" Vaughan; her former husband Edwards Oscar Valdez; and her parents, Lelias Coleman Sharpton and June Moore Sharpton. She is survived by: her sister Peggy Burgess (Calvin); her son Jonny Willingham (Sandy); her daughter-in-law Peggy Willingham; and her grandchildren, Mary Margaret Roberson (Ray), Bruce Payne (Susan), Janna Payne Bearden (Rick), Dana Willingham Furman, Joseph Edward Willingham III (Mary), Brad Crosby (Angela) of Brian Crosby, B. J and Jason Willingham (Carrie). She is also survived by many great-grandchildren and great-great grandchildren.
