She was predeceased by: her parents, Ida Susan and Eugene Gordon Marbut; her husband George Wayne Mordecai; and her siblings, Polly, Jean, Easel, Harold, Mutt and Wayne.
She is survived by: her children, Davis Eugene Mordecai (Lisa) and Stacy Elaine Merkle (Jonathan). She is also survived by 5 grandchildren and 2 great-grandchildren.
Visitation was held on Saturday, December 7th 2024 from 10:00 AM to 11:00 AM at the Crestwood Memorial Cemetery (2209 E Broad St, Gadsden, AL 35903). A funeral service was held on Saturday, December 7th 2024 at 11:00 AM at the same location.
