She is survived by: her children, Lorra Thornton of Gadsden, Bobby Thornton of Albertville, Jaqueline Gaines (Terrance) of Birmingham and Sandra Kirby (Kenneth) of Gadsden; her grandchildren, Alando Thornton (Tamara) of Gadsden, Charles Jacobs of Oklahoma, Demarcus Thornton (Shanae) of Gadsden, Kiona Thornton of Gadsden, Lashunda Thornton of Gadsden, Jeremy Thornton (Charlotte) of Gadsden, Kenya Flakes of Georgia, Bobby Sumpter of Huntsville, Brandon Sumpter of Gadsden, Kendra Kirby of Weaver, Candice Burns of Gadsden and Terrance Gaines Jr. of Birmingham; and her siblings, Marcel Jones of Alexander City, Nathaniel Jones of Florida, Samuel Jones (Marcella) of Gadsden, JP Jones (Deloria) of Gadsden, Reuben Jones of Louisville Kentucky, Joseph Jones of Louisville Kentucky and Annie Jones of Kentucky. She is also survived by 20 great-grandchildren, and a host of nieces, nephews, and many dear friends.
