He was predeceased by: his parents, Earl Mackey and Sula Hill Mackey. He is survived by: his significant other Kay Whitten Mackey; his daughters, Gina and Jana; his grandchildren, Zane (Samantha), Dylan (Chris), Braydon (Holly), Alex (Ashley) and Katlyn (Landon); his great grandchildren, Bronx, Brady, Elliana, Hallie, Mary-Lou, Keegan, Asher, Zane and Joseph; and his sons, Patrick Hawk and John Sullivan.

In Lieu of flowers, Memorials may be made to St. Jude Children's Hospital.
