He was predeceased by: his wife Anita Sue Johnson Barron; his parents, Herbert Barron and Florence Barron; and his siblings, Wallace, Ray, Ralph Barron and Evelyn Barron Ward.

He is survived by: his children, Scott Barron (Rebecca), Rolf Barron (Deborah), Jill Cooper and Nichole Sowell; his grandchildren, Rachel, Jessica, Christopher, Charlie and Kaitlyn; and his siblings, Jerry Eugene Barron and Betty Sue Barron Covington. He is also survived by 6 great grandchildren, numerous nieces and nephews.
