He was predeceased by: his parents, Beatrice Helms Barton and James Barton; his brother Terry Barton; and his grandson Kane Mullins. He is survived by: his wife Frances Barton; his children, Jenean Battles, Vicky Mullins (Steve) and Jesse Wayne Barton, Jr. (Sandra); his grandchildren, Joshua Battles, Valerie Roberts (Kyle), Rachel Farrante (Joey), Brad Mullins, Chassidy Taylor, Erick Taylor (Michele) and Bobby Mullins; his great grandchildren, Jacob Taylor, Melody, Summer, Lucy, Will Roberts, Kayden, Isabella, Ryleigh Mullins, Karson Taylor and Sophia Ferrante; his siblings, Darlene Driskell (Bobby) and Gary Barton; and his siblings-in-law, James George, Joseph McDuffie, Sidney McDuffie (Cassie), Laura McBurnett, Becky Spinks, Melissa McDuffie and Audrey Nelson. He is also survived by many loving nieces and nephews.
