He was predeceased by: his son Eddie Swafford; his spouse Kathryn Swafford; and the mother of his children Linda Swafford. He is survived by: his children, Joyce Roberts, Debbye Harper and Taylor Swafford; and his grandchildren, Keith Swafford (Jeanna), Sally Hill (Brian), Andy Swafford (Kelly), Jed Came (Alanna), Barbie Jones (Bobby) and Jimmy Harper (Amber). He is also survived by 12 great-grandchildren; and numerous nieces and nephews.

Donations may be made to Kyle Avenue Baptist Church.
