He was predeceased by: his mother Cora Winters Jack; his wife Lillie Mae Gilson (Harper); his parent Willie James Sr.; his children, Jack Jr., Ann, Darrell and Brian; and his son-in-law Sylvester Jones.
He is survived by: his siblings, Willie James Jr., Willie Lawrence and Mattie; and his children, Roslyn and Jerrold (Jerry). He is also survived by 14 Grandchildren, 13 Great Grandchildren, and 6 Great Great Grandchildren.
