He was predeceased by: his parents, Verbon Adams and Estoria Adams; his siblings, Edward Adams and Lois Wells (James); and his grandsons, Brian Adams and Jeremy Cothran.
He is survived by: his wife Doris Adams; his children, Brenda Herb (Rodney), Sherry Cothran (Kenneth), Linda Willis (Kenneth) and George Lankford (Rosa); and his grandchildren, Mark Atkins, Danika White (James), Chris Moon, Brandy Moon, Amy MacDougall, David Lankford (Misty), Megan Massey (Chris), Candace Cothran (Sherri Cook) and Joanna George (James). He is also survived by 28 great-grandchildren and 15 great-great-grandchildren.
