He is survived by: his wife Annette Henegar Steakley; his children, Jeffrey Wayne Steakley, Christopher Todd Steakley (Amy) and Rhonda Michelle Steakley; his brother Thomas "Butch" Steakley; and his niece Atalie Whitley (David).

A funeral service was held on Saturday, February 1st 2025 at 2:00 PM at the Collier-Butler Funeral Home (824 Rainbow Dr, Gadsden, AL 35901).
