He was predeceased by: his parents, Nellie Lou Rhodes Kitchens and James Harrison Kitchens. He is survived by: his wife Martha Stanford Kitchens. He is also survived by nieces and nephews, great-nieces and great-nephews, numerous friends.
In lieu of flowers the family request donations to the Kitchens Memorial Scholarship at Snead State Community College to enable students in religious studies and the fine arts to achieve their goals.
