She was predeceased by: her parents, Homer Cagle Young and Frances Irene Young; her siblings, Linda Kay Mayo, Donald Edward Young and Kenneth James Young; and her children, Roland Mark Medlin and Marsha Ann Byers.

She is survived by: her husband Roland Arthur Medlin; her daughter Tammy Lynn Medlin (Eric Almond); her grandchildren, Brandon Byers (Andrea Brandon), Brittany Byers (Justin McNair), Alexis Carter and Braden Almond; and her great grandchildren, Cason Dugger, Emma Morgan, Lenna Grace Harper McNair and Axton Patterson.
