Edna Ruth McCreless Obituary

With heavy hearts, we announce the death of Edna Ruth McCreless (Gadsden, Alabama), who passed away on January 4, 2023 at the age of 89. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.

She was predeceased by: her husband Raymond Edgar McCreless; her son Michael McCreless; her parents, Raymond Vanzant Harrell and Etta Estelle Gardner Harrell; and her siblings, Floyd Harrell, Jack Harrell, Phillip Harrell, Pete Harrell, Clois Harrell, Bessie Harrell Dean, Joyce Harrell Lee and Jude Harrell Berry.

She is survived by: her sons, Steven McCreless (Vivian) and Daron McCreless (Deedra); her daughter-in-law Jerri McCreless; her grandchildren, Patrick McCreless, Alex McCreless (Megan), Holly Ford (Jonathon), Joseph McCreless (Tala), Kathryn Smith (Justin), Jeff Mathis (Amanda) and Kaci Mathis; her great grandchildren, Mary Frances Ford, Rosalie Dearing Ford, Ivy Hope Ford, Thomas Mayhew Ford, Farah Jane McCreless, Vivian Elaine Smith, Nathaniel Jude Smith, Alyssa Marie Davis, Braxton Lane Davis and E. J. Mathis; and her brother Allen Harrell. She is also survived by several nieces, nephews, and cousins.

The family will accept flowers or memorials may be made to the American Cancer Society or the American Heart Association.
