It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Edgar Augustus Pettit Jr. (Gadsden, Alabama), who passed away on April 28, 2024, at the age of 93, leaving to mourn family and friends. He was predeceased by: his parents, Edgar Sr. Pettit and Mary Pettit; and his siblings, Evangeline and Paul. He is survived by: his wife Violet Pettit; his daughters, Elaine Arnold (Steven) and Jane Scholl; his grandchildren, Erica Brandt (Jimmy), Adam Arnold (Alicja) and Andrew Arnold; and his great grandchildren, Sam and Kellie Brandt. He is also survived by his wife, daughters and grandchildren.
