He was predeceased by: his parents, Royce Guthrie and Eunie Guthrie; and his cousin Gary Guthrie. He is survived by: his wife Gloria Elaine Guthrie; his daughter Natalie Guthrie; his granddaughters, Rhiley Pierce (Cannon Brasher) and Lexie Pierce; and his great grandchildren, Wrenley Brasher and Mila Mostella.

In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in Don's memory to the American Cancer Society or the local VFW.
