He was predeceased by: his wife Betty J. Gurley; and his parents, E. E. Gurley and Loudale Gurley. He is survived by: his children, Alan Gurley (Diane), Susan Farmer, Kent Gurley (Violet), Amy Alldredge (Joey) and David Gurley (Lisa); and his brothers, Gene and Glenn Gurley (Brenda). He is also survived by grandchildren, great-grandchildren, nieces, nephews.
In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to Hospic of Alabama or St. Jude Children's Research Hospital.
