It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Davieuntae Dewon Ackles of Gadsden, Alabama, who passed away on December 8, 2024, at the age of 30, leaving to mourn family and friends. He was predeceased by: his father William David Ackles; his aunt Shelia Ann Ackles Turner; and his uncle AnTwon Dewon Miller (Tremaine Freeman). He is survived by: his mother Peangelia DuVon Dixon; his daughters, Ya'Riyah, Kmari and Autumn Ackles; the parent of his children Dezere Coleman; his sons, James, Jalen and Jordan Cameron; his girlfriend Taneisha Cameron; his grandparents, Roger Ackles (Patricia) of Micaville, Ruth Dixon of Gadsden, AL, Gary Dean Freeman of Anniston and Grady Lee Dixon, Jr. of Jacksonville, FL; his siblings, Deangelo Dixon (Cheslei), Cynan Wetorick, Brayden Strutt, Julius Ackles, TaDarius Smith, Xavier Moody, Alex Hester, Jasmine Young, LaDaica Moody, Makayla Barrett and Mia Ragland; his aunts and uncles, LaConya K. Smith (Lavon), Erica Freeman, Tawatha Dixon, Jasmine Freeman, Ametrice Jackson (Eddie), Tony Story, Jabar Westbrooks and Don Ackles (Malissa); his cousins, Christina Smith, Van Smith Jr. (Kathryn), Ayden Dixon, Cacy, Macy Smith and Nicole Heard (Curterra); his close friends, Marthavius Sawyer and Antiono Porter; and his friend Brandon McCurdy.

Visitation was held on Friday, December 13th 2024 from 5:00 PM to 7:00 PM. A funeral service was held on Saturday, December 14th 2024 at 1:00 PM at the Mission Baptist Church (1115 Tuscaloosa Ave, Gadsden, AL 35901).
