She was predeceased by: her husband Charles Gowens; her parents, Herbert Myers and Beuna Myers; and her son Scott Gowens. She is survived by: her children, Brenda Lankford, Lynn Mathis (Jerry) and Justin Gowens; her grandchildren, Mari Jenkins, Dana Mize, Nickey Jenkins, Charlie Mize, Terry Jenkins, Alexis Mize, Daylon Gowens, Aubree Gowens and Kade Gowens; her brother Dewey Myers; her nephew Andrew Myers; and her niece Angie McDaniel.
