He was predeceased by: his parents, Hoyt Arthur Keith and Berneta Mary McGill; and his sister Marry Ann Starnes. He is survived by: his significant other Monette Johnson; his children, Kirby Keith (Elizabeth) and Kimberly Mercier; his grandchildren, Sophie, Sylvie, Liam and Kennedy; and his siblings, Joyce Richardson, Lettye Thomas, Rick Keith and Rusty Keith. He is also survived by nieces and nephews.
