She was predeceased by: her son John Keith Rials; her grandparents, Sadie, Raudie Warren and Earland Iola Rials; and her great-grandparent Janie Woodward.

She is survived by: her husband James Maxwell (Byrd); her daughter Katie Jane Maxwell; her parents, John Rials and Dorothy Rials; her mother-in-law Alma Maxwell; and her sisters, Alanna Bates (Jed Came), Alisha McGee (Eric) and Athena Rials.
