He was predeceased by: his wife Pat Barron; his parents, Clifford Barron and Esther Robertson Lucille Denney; his siblings, Silvey Barron, Janette O'Dell, Jim Barron, Ed Barron, Ruth Barron and Mark Barron; and his grandson Jamie Barron.
He is survived by: his children, Jerry Barron, Lynn Barron and Bobby Barron (Shannon); his grandchildren, Jimmy Barron (Amanda), Mindy Owen (Daniel), Christopher Barron (Tiffany) and Todd Barron (Megan); his great grandchildren, Autumn Barron, Ben Barron of Bryson Barron, J. J, Carson Barron, Michael Barron, Meagan Owen, Thomas Owen, Noah Reed and Addison Reed; his sisters, Geneva Butler and Hazel Barron; his siblings-in-law, Jerry Denney (Sheila) and Dorothy Barron; and his close friend Johnny Bonner.
Visitation was held on Friday, March 21st 2025 from 12:00 PM to 2:00 PM at the Hokes Bluff Funeral Home (1901 Piedmont Cutoff, Gadsden, AL 35905). A funeral service was held on Friday, March 21st 2025 from 2:00 PM to 3:00 PM at the same location.
In lieu of flowers, bring a toy bulldozer, excavator, or dump truck to be donated to the Glencoe Fire Fighters for Christmas for kids in his honor. Keep Alvin's legacy alive by donating to a charity in need.
