He was predeceased by: his wife Jean Pruitt Holtsford; his parents, Ernest Lafayette Holtsford and Alma Turner Holtsford; and his sisters, Ernestine Holtsford and Sandra Wells.
He is survived by: his children, Ronald (Jennifer) of Montgomery, Alex Jr. (Charlene) of Montgomery and Laurie of Montgomery; his siblings, Randy Wells (Martha) and Peggy Aurich (Lynn); his grandsons, Joshua Holtsford (Danielle), Will Buchanan, Aaron Holtsford, Trey Holtsford (Rebecca), Charles Holtsford (Julie) and David Holtsford; and his great grandchildren, William Holtsford, Sophie Chevalier, Anne Pruitt Holtsford and Georgia Kathryn Holtsford.
