It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Alex F Thompson III of Gadsden, Alabama, born in Albany, Georgia, who passed away on June 30, 2023, at the age of 43, leaving to mourn family and friends. He was predeceased by: his father Frank Thompson, Jr.; and his grandparents, Harvey, Elizabeth Mulkey, Frank Thompson, Sr. and Charlie Mae Thompson.
He is survived by: his mother Wanda Mulkey Thompson of Deatsville; his wife Haven Hendrix Thompson; his sons, Beau Thompson of Gadsden, Alabama., Luke Thompson of Gadsden, Alabama., Reid Thompson of Gadsden, Alabama. and Ray Thompson of Gadsden, Alabama.; his sister Sherry Thompson Campbell (Jeff) of Deatsville; his mother-in-law Rosella Davenport; and his brothers-in-law, Cain Hendrix (Abbie) and Eric Hendrix.
For those wanting to honor his life, the family has requested memorial contributions be made to Highlands College.
