He was predeceased by: his wives, Willie Mae McAbee and Jewell McAbee; his children, Darlene McAbee, Eddie Lee McAbee and Charles Talley; and his parents, Wallace McAbee and Mamie McAbee.
He is survived by: his children, Fredia Mae Taylor, Pat Brown, Margie Warren, Judy Smith, Barney Ray McAbee, James H. McAbee, Cosby Wayne McAbee and Jackie Brown; his stepdaughter Margie Holt; and his sister Dorothy Brown. He is also survived by 18 Grandchildren, 14 Great Grandchildren, and 7 Great-Great Grandchildren.
