He was predeceased by: his wife Nell Gray; his parents, Rubin Gray and Elzora Gray of Ragland, AL; and his siblings, Joan Gray of Ragland, Louise Bice of Chicago, IL, Richard Gray of Baltimore, MD, Marvin Gray of Cleveland, OH, Tom Gray, Larry Gray and Travis Gray of Ragland, AL..
He is survived by: his children, Mark Gray (Mary Ann) of Fultondale, AL and Mary Dodd (Wendell) of Gardendale, AL.; his grandchildren, Jason Painter (Wendy) of Hayden, AL and Stacey Gray of Fultondale, AL.; his great grandchildren, Lainey Clare Painter and John Memphis Gray; his siblings, Jeanette Pinkston (Jerry), Albert Gray (Sissy) of Ragland, AL and James Gray (Joan) of Gardendale, AL; and his sister-in-law Clara Hill of New Castle, AL.. He is also survived by nieces and nephews.
Due to the Covid-19 pandemic, the family will have a private graveside service with Pastor Mark Gainey of Fultondale First Baptist Church officiating.
