He is survived by: his wife Beth Short Carmichael; his siblings, Sam, Shirley, Gertrude and Margaret; his sisters-in-law, Jo Ann Harvey and Julia Carmichael; and also Sibul Moore. He is also survived by numerous nieces and nephews.
