Family and friends must say goodbye to their beloved Lena Ruth Rhodes of Fultondale, Alabama, who passed away at the age of 90, on September 6, 2024. She was predeceased by: her husband John Rhodes; her grandchildren, Caleb and Christian Holt; and her parents, John Hogeland and Allie Mae Hogeland.
She is survived by: her children, Carol Byrd (Steve) and Mark Smith (Vickie); and her grandchildren, Carmen Scholl (Scott), Gregory Byrd (Melody), Tonya Jernigan (Cedric) and Lee Smith (Sarah). She is also survived by great great grandchildren; and many nieces, nephews and other extended family and friends.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations be made to St. Jude Hospital.
