He was predeceased by: his parents, Sander Norman Sorensen, Sr. and Nettie "Nanny" Sorensen; his sisters, Arita "Rita" Owens, Mattie "ReRe" Pike and Amelia "Mickey" Robbins; and also Sander "Sonny" Sorensen, Jr..
He is survived by: his wife Carolyn Sorensen; and his children, Miranda Underwood (Brandon), Jason Sorensen (Rena), LaTricia Smith (Joseph), Christie Thach (Kerry), Chres Sorensen, Jr. (Donna), Kim Wakle (Al) and Monica Wells (Guy). He is also survived by numerous grandchildren and great grandchildren.
