She was predeceased by: her parents, Sim Alexander and Gracie Alexander; and her siblings, Bud Alexander, Roy Alexander, JB Alexander, Stella Overton, Zettia Waid, Willodene Lawter, Dera Alexander and Crystle Shirley.
She is survived by: her husband Wayne Harris; her children, Michael Harris (Susan), Deborah Johnson, Pamela Kinsey and Cynthia Posey (James); and her siblings, Jerry Alexander (Peggy), Ellodean McGill, Ilene Watts, Virginia Beasley (Jimmy), Gurvis Elkins (Don) and Gladys Black (Glenn). She is also survived by 14 grandchildren and 26 great grandchildren.
