He was predeceased by: his parents, William Dawson Davis and Lola Horton Davis; his siblings, Roy Davis and Ruth Davis Veach; and his son-in-law Jim Nelson.
He is survived by: his wife Marguerite Coleman Davis; his children, Tim Davis of Jay, FL, Coleman Davis (Lynne Campbell) of Geismer, LA, Kathy Davis (Ed Holley) of Millers Ferry, AL and Joni Nelson of Columbiana, AL; his niece Jackie V. Dillard of Birmingham, AL; and his nephew Jimmy Earl Davis of Fulton, AL.
