He was predeceased by: his former wife Marylois Hale Birchfield; and his parents, Reuben Birchfield and Lottie Birchfield. He is survived by: his wife Linda Cooper Birchfield; his children, Steve Birchfield (Linda), Billy Birchfield (Wanda), Don Birchfield (Kelly) and Debra B. Nelson (Scott); his stepchildren, Mark Cooper (Tassa) and Kim Hollis (Lee); and his sisters, Myra Johnson Amason and Gaye O'Connor. He is also survived by 14 grandchildren; 7 great grandchildren.
