He was predeceased by: his parents, Wesley Thornton and Velma Thornton; and his sisters, Shelia Hare and Priscilla Thornton. He is survived by: his wife Gladys Thornton; his children, Stephen Taylor, Shawn Thornton (Brandi) and Kelley Whigham (Danny); his brothers, Gary Thornton (Kathy), Tony Thornton (Renee) and Loud Thornton; and his grandchildren, Christian Taylor (Kristin), Josh Whigham (Jennifer), Eric Thornton, Jordan Whigham (Anna), Shawnee Taylor, Josh Kirkland, Ethan Thornton, Mitch Whigham (Kali) and Corey Whigham. He is also survived by his family, friends.
