He was predeceased by: his parents, Tom B. Nettles and Lottie Lorene Smith Nettles; his son Gregory Lavon Nettles; his daughter-in-law Janet Gautreaux Nettles; and his great grandchild Malachi Nettles.
He is survived by: his wife Alice Viola Nettles of Frisco City; his children, Christopher "Scot" Nettles (Jill) of Frisco City, Toria Sims (Lamar) of Butler, AL and Nicole Hyatt (Jason) of Frisco City; and his grandchildren, Daniel Nettles, Katie Brooks (Ethan), Colton Nettles (Ashlee), Wyatt Nettles (Arial), Drew Boatwright, Ally Boatwright, McKenzie Hyatt, Emma Kate Hyatt, Timmy Sims (Kendra) and Jaron Hyatt.
The family request that in lieu of flowers, donations be made to the Monroe County Rescue Squad to the Monroe County Animal Shelter.
