Lena Bell Simmons Obituary
We are sad to announce that on January 26, 2025, at the age of 89, Lena Bell Simmons of Frisco City, Alabama passed away. Family and friends are welcome to send flowers or leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
Though Lena may no longer walk beside us, her memory will forever be enshrined in the fabric of the lives of those Lena touched, a beacon of light guiding us through the darkness. In her absence, her spirit lives on — a gentle whisper in the breeze, a ray of sunlight on a cloudy day, a reminder that love knows no boundaries.
She was predeceased by: her parents, Alvin Bell and Mattie Money Bell; her husband James Lemond Simmons; her daughters, Shaun Simmons Crutchfield and Shirley Simmons; and her siblings, Lewis Beasley and Mazell Bell Taylor.
She is survived by: her sons, Rufus Lemond Simmons (Cyndee) of Brewton and Ludon Simmons (Martha) of East Brewton. She is also survived by Grandchildren (21) Great Grandchildren.
Visitation was held on Wednesday, January 29th 2025 from 6:00 PM to 8:00 PM at the Williams Memorial Chapel Funeral Home (2353 South Blvd, Brewton, AL 36426). A funeral service was held on Thursday, January 30th 2025 at 2:00 PM at the First Baptist Church of East Brewton East Brewton, Alabama (1201 Shoffner St, East Brewton, AL 36426).
