He is survived by: his wife Cathy Walston Hayes; his children, Diana Lynn Hayes Fowler (Mark) and Allen Michael Hayes (Kristen); his grandchildren, McGee Woods Turner, Hayes William Turner, Abigail Grace Hayes, Morgan Osmond Fowler, Olivia Faith Hayes and Elizabeth Hope Hayes; and his brother-in-law Cecil Ryland Walston.
