He was predeceased by: his wife Joyce Ellis; his parents, George Ellis and Annette Ellis; and his brother Robert Craig Ellis. He is survived by: his stepdaughter Darlene Taylor; his niece Jennifer Moody; his nephew Craig Ellis; his sister-in-law Mamie Lou Ellis; his friend Mark James; and his grandchildren, Damon Garrick, Natalie Pipkin, Michael Garrick and Joseph Barnett. He is also survived by nine great-grandchildren.
