She was predeceased by: her parents, James Jones and Roena Jones (Hester); her former husband Bejamin Mitchell; her daughter Rita Mitchell Hargett; her brother Billy Jones; and her sister-in-law Belva Jones.
She is survived by: her son Benjamin Mitchell; her husband Gene McCalmon of Belgreen, AL; her son Byron Mitchell (Ann) of Belgreen, AL; her son-in-law Randy Hargett (Sherry) of Belgreen, AL; her grandchildren, D. Brent Hargett (Kristin) of Pensacola, FL, Kelli Hargett Higgins (Craig) of Hoover, AL and Heather Mitchell Sharp (Heath) of Belgreen, AL; and her great grandchildren, Meredith, Garrett Hargett, Ben, Maggie Higgins, Hollie and Hallie Sharp. She is also survived by nieces and nephews.
