We are sad to announce that on June 19, 2024, at the age of 75, Shirley Day of Fort Payne, Alabama passed away. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
In the hush of twilight, as the stars twinkle in silent homage, we reflect on the legacy Shirley leaves behind and her impact on the lives of her loved ones. Though Shirley may no longer walk among us, her spirit lives on in the memories held dear by her family and friends, a guiding light that illuminates their paths in times of darkness.
She was predeceased by: her parents, Ules Lester and Nell Waldron Smalley; and her siblings, Buddy (Bobby Smalley) and Linda Gregory. She is survived by: her children, Steven Anderson of Virginia Beach and Stephanie Tallent (Eric) of Chattanooga; her caregiver Gary Brown; and her siblings, Charles Smalley, Andy Beason, Larry Smalley, Louise Cooper and Joyce Stalvey.
