With solemn hearts, we announce the passing of Jerry G. Young in Fort Payne, Alabama, whose presence will be deeply missed, having departed on October 30, 2024. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
As we bid Jerry farewell, let us not mourn the absence of his physical form, but rather celebrate the essence of his spirit that lingers in the spaces between moments. For Jerry is not truly gone, but merely transformed, his energy intertwined with the fabric of the universe itself, forever dancing among the stars.
He was predeceased by: his brothers, Jack Young, Jim Young and Johnny Young. He is survived by: his wife Barbara (Bentley); his daughter Jennifer Young Ables; his son-in-law Ray Ables; his grandchildren, Lauren Ables Langele (Taylofl) and John (Mlliam Ables); and his sisters, Bettye Young Frost, Sadye Young McCollum and Connie Young Tyree. He is also survived by his sisters-in-law, and many nieces and nephews.
Visitation was held on Saturday, November 2nd 2024 from 1:00 PM to 3:00 PM at the W. T Wilson Funeral Chapel (2226 Main St Shiloh, Rainsville, AL 35986). A funeral service was held on Saturday, November 2nd 2024 from 3:00 PM to 4:00 PM at the same location.
