We are sad to announce that on August 5, 2024, at the age of 82, Jeanie Carol Newsome Wilburn of Fort Payne, Alabama passed away. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
She was predeceased by: her parents, James Cleo Newsome and Velma Louise Thrasher; her sister Wylene Wilks; and her granddaughter Jaime LaShae Wagner. She is survived by: her husband Lanar Wilburn; her daughters, Lynne Wagner (Jesse) of Ft. Payne, Ann Hess and Veronica Rice of Tony, AL; her brother Wayne Newsome; her grandchildren, Kelley Wagner (Amy), Blake Wagner, Keyah Boldware, Joseph Swords (Jenna) and Justin Swords (Amanda); her great grandchild Jasmine Chambers (Michael); and her great great grandchildren, Zoey and Katherine Chambers.
The family will accept flowers or donations may be made to The Alzheimer's Foundation.
