It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Donald Herman MacDermid of Fort Payne, Alabama, who passed away on February 8, 2025, at the age of 88, leaving to mourn family and friends. He was predeceased by: his parents, Norman MacDermid and Mildred Herman MacDermid; his wife Nina Liggett MacDermid; his son Donald MacDermid, Jr.; and his sister Norma Goff.
He is survived by: his children, Michael MacDermid and Anita MacDermid (Don Donaghy, Jr.); his siblings, John MacDermid and Kathleen Barker; his granddaughter Suzie Dent; and his great grandchildren, Joshua Scoggins, Natalie Scoggins and Jeremy Ledbetter.
