She was predeceased by: her parents, Harvey Brooks and Addie Sue Carrell Brooks; her children, Connie Blackwood Smith and Mike Blackwood; her grandson Robbie Lorren; and her sister Mary Lou Evans.
She is survived by: her daughter Patricia Weinz (Kevin); her siblings, Charles Brooks, Harvey Lee Brooks and Hannah Cordle; her grandchildren, Christopher Lorren, Phillip Lorren, Tonya Conway, Michael Blackwood and Ben Blackwood; and her stepgrandchildren, Courtney Weinz and Kevin Weinz II. She is also survived by several great-grandchildren.
Visitation was held on Wednesday, December 18th 2024 from 4:00 PM to 7:00 PM and on Thursday, December 19th 2024 from 10:00 AM to 11:00 AM. A funeral service was held on Thursday, December 19th 2024 at 11:00 AM at the Ruhama Baptist Church (3310 Co Rd 81, Fort Payne, AL 35967).
