He was predeceased by: his parents, Lawrence McCrimmon and Willie Mae McCrimmon; his brothers, Wade, James and Kenneth McCrimmon; his granddaughter Samira Troy; and his niece Michelle McCrimmon-Belsches.

He is survived by: his significant other Priscilla Dandridge; his children, Bruneette Troy (Lee) of Spring, TX, Selicsa James (Larry) of Crestview, FL and Anthony Jackson (Traci) of Douglasville, GA; his sisters, Lear Hughes of Brooklyn, NY and Phostenia McCrimmon of Fairmont, NC; his grandchildren, Osiris, Ibn, Iman, Zahra Troy and Marneisha Theus (Christopher); and his godson Charles Goodwin of Columbus, GA. He is also survived by loving nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.

He also cared about those who were less fortunate, often donating to various charities.
