He was predeceased by: his parents, Melvin Hix, Sr. and Carrie B. Ellison Hix; and his siblings, Charles Henry, Anderson, Martha Jean and Rose.
He is survived by: his wife Annie Doris Lee Hix; his children, Jeffery Copeland, Patricia Cobb and Tanya Faniel; his grandchildren, Rashawn Harris (AT), Kentavia Townsend, Tashia Copeland and Akilah Copeland; his great grandchildren, Raquan, Kyran, Kylee, Martravion, Marnesha, Marcedes, Nahjell, Eve, Ezekiel and Gabriel; his siblings-in-law, Willie Clyde Lee, Robert Earl Lee (Mary), Earnest Lee (Brenda), Crawford Lee (Liz), Harold Hall, Bernice Ingram and Dianne Goff (Namon); and his niece Tangenika Queen (Thomas). He is also survived by other nieces, nephews, relatives and friends.
All visitations and services will be conducted exercising prescribed social distancing protocols including the use of appropriate facial coverings.
