It is with great sadness that we announce the death of James Jernigan (Fort Mitchell, Alabama), who passed away on July 24, 2018, at the age of 85, leaving to mourn family and friends. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
He was predeceased by: his parent Shellie Tom Jernigan; his son James Rodney Jernigan; and his siblings, Frances Smith and Edward Tom Jernigan. He is survived by: his parent Annie Bell Whitaker Jernigan; his wife Mary Alice Maloy Jernigan; his children, Kathy Hodge (Jimmy) of Ft and Tony DeWayne Jernigan (Grace Elaine) of Phenix City, AL; his sister Edna Bryan of Phenix City, AL; his grandchildren, Amanda Yancey (Rodney), Chad Jernigan, Summer Jarosz (Julius) and Jacie Branch (Kevon); and his great grandchildren, Colton Yancey and Bethany Yancey.
