With heavy hearts, we announce the death of Sam Davis Cates of Fort Deposit, Alabama, who passed away on November 3, 2021 at the age of 70. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
He was predeceased by: his parents, William Cates and Margaret Cates; and his brother William E. Cates. He is survived by: his wife Cathy Bass Cates; his sons, Bill Cates (Jacie) and Ben Cates (Courtney); his grandchildren, Hannah, Kayden, Bryce, Kyleigh, Davis and Asa Cates; his brothers-in-law, Mike Bass (Darlene) and Stephen Bass (Tammy); and his sisters, Ola "Sis" Perdue and Billie Lloyd Buxton.
