He was predeceased by: his parents, George A. Marsell and Mary E. Pugh Marsell; and his sisters, Loreen Ruth Marsell and Joanne Marsell Mustari. He is survived by: his pet Lucky; his wife Peggy Hoppes Marsell; his children, Teri Cairo, Michael Marsell (Karen) and Scott Marsell; his stepdaughter Libby LeeMaster (Mark); his grandchildren, Joe Cairo, Tony Cairo, MaKenzie Marsell, Riley Marsell, Regan Marsell and Kailynn Marsell; his stepgrandchildren, Sophia LeeMaster, William LeeMaster and Evan LeeMaster; his brother-in-law Gerald Hoppes; his nephews, Shawn Kovalchick and John Kovalchick; and his great-nephew Kyle Kovalchick. He is also survived by other relatives and friends.
